Practical gold ownership

How to sell gold bullion

A practical guide to selling gold bars and coins through online dealers, local shops or private buyers.

The best time to understand resale is before buying.

Get multiple quotes

Ask whether the quote is fixed or indicative, how long it is valid, and whether it assumes intact packaging or a specific condition.

Know what the buyer is pricing

A dealer may pay by pure gold content, recognized product type, condition, current inventory and resale demand. A collectible buyer may care about date and grade.

Understand testing

Dealers may use weight, dimensions, electronic conductivity, ultrasound, X-ray fluorescence or other methods. Testing is normal; destructive testing should require clear consent.

Shipping to an online buyer

Follow the dealer’s exact packing, insurance and label procedure. Photograph the package contents and seams. Ordinary carrier insurance may exclude precious metals unless the dealer arranges coverage.

Private sales

A private buyer may pay more but adds personal-safety, payment and counterfeit risks. Meet in an appropriate secure environment and follow applicable law.

Where the affiliates fit

BulkGold.co uses multiple approved merchants so one dealer does not define the whole site. Silver Gold Bull is linked through CJ, Bullion.com through MaxBounty, and Kitco and Money Metals through AWIN. Product-level availability is favored where a verified deep link is available.
